El INE reveló los 9 nombres con más votos para ser ministras y ministros de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN).

Ciudad de México.– El Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) dio a conocer este martes a las nueve personas que obtuvieron el mayor número de votos ciudadanos para integrar la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN), en un proceso inédito de participación popular.
Entre las candidaturas más votadas figuran cinco mujeres y cuatro hombres, cuyas trayectorias han estado vinculadas al ámbito jurídico, político y de derechos humanos.

El INE destacó que este ejercicio busca fortalecer la transparencia y participación democrática en la designación de ministras y ministros de la Corte, aunque aún deberá pasar por procesos constitucionales adicionales para definir los nombramientos oficiales.
Con este resultado, se vislumbran posibles cambios en la composición del máximo tribunal del país, en un contexto donde la independencia judicial y el equilibrio de poderes se mantienen como temas clave en la agenda nacional.
En este contexto, Claudia Sheinbaum, virtual presidenta electa, señaló que existe un artículo que requeriría interpretación por parte del INE o del Tribunal Electoral, el cual podría establecer que la Presidencia de la SCJN tendría que iniciar con una mujer. En ese sentido, expresó su preferencia por que Lenia Batres presida la Corte durante la transición al nuevo Poder Judicial.
“Vamos a ver, pero preferiría que ella presida la SCJN en la transición al nuevo poder judicial”, comentó.
El INE destacó que este ejercicio busca fortalecer la transparencia y participación democrática en la designación de ministras y ministros de la Corte, aunque aún deberá pasar por procesos constitucionales adicionales para definir los nombramientos oficiales.
Con estos resultados, se vislumbran posibles cambios relevantes en la composición y conducción del máximo tribunal del país, justo en un momento clave para el equilibrio de poderes y el rediseño del sistema de justicia en México.
