—Arqueras y arqueros de Tamaulipas se imponen por equipos y suman otro oro, una plata y dos bronces

Apizaco, Tlaxcala.– La selección de Tamaulipas incrementó su cosecha de medallas en la Olimpiada Nacional 2026 al obtener cuatro preseas por equipos en la disciplina de tiro con arco, resultados que, sumados a las 15 metales individuales previamente conseguidos, alcanzan un total de 19 medallas, cifra histórica para esta disciplina en el estado dentro de la justa nacional.
El resultado más destacado fue la medalla de oro en la categoría Sub-14 femenil compuesto, conseguida por el equipo integrado por Alicia Hernández Castillo, Natalia Cruz García y Mariana Marcela Gatica, representantes de Tampico, quienes se proclamaron campeonas nacionales.
En la categoría Sub-16 femenil compuesto, Tamaulipas obtuvo la medalla de plata con el equipo conformado por Valentina Torres Gómez (Tampico), Vania Herrera Juárez (Altamira) y Mariam Carmen Basilio Gómez (Tampico).
En la rama varonil, la entidad sumó dos medallas de bronce. En Sub-16 compuesto, el equipo estuvo integrado por Sebastián Gallegos y Óscar Herrera, ambos de Tampico, junto a Aldo García, de Ciudad Victoria. Mientras que en Sub-14 compuesto, el podio fue alcanzado por Eric de León, Cristóbal Chávez y Jorge Maldonado, también de Tampico.
El proceso de preparación de los atletas contó con el trabajo de los entrenadores Jorge Payán en Tampico, Clelia Morales en Altamira e Israel Pulido en Ciudad Victoria.
Manuel Virués Lozano, director general del Instituto del Deporte de Tamaulipas, felicitó a las y los atletas por estos resultados, reconociendo su esfuerzo y dedicación, y destacó que estos logros se alcanzan con el respaldo del Gobierno del Estado que encabeza el gobernador Américo Villarreal.
